Morris dancer gets six years

A MORRIS dancer who sexually abused a 12-year-old girl over two years was sentenced to six years in jail yesterday.

Father- of-two Clive Royales had sex with her three times a week from 1998 to 2000, including on Sundays when his wife and children were at church, Manchester Crown Court heard.

Royales, from Springhead, Oldham, was caught 14 years later when the woman approached his now ex-wife.

His victim is now said to suffer anxiety and depression.

Engineer Royales, 50, who denies the relationship, was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register after a jury found him guilty of indecent assault.
