Yet another sign of the times ...

READER James Anderson believes cyclists seem to think they have a right of way over pedestrians (Letters). Is it because the sign appears to have changed from indicating a shared cycleway and pavement (above left) to one where the cyclist seems to have priority over parents and children (above right)?
