COKE ON THE AMPS

DURING concerts in the late Sixties and throughout the Seventies, lines of cocaine and heroin would be left on top of the amplifiers on stage, waiting to be snorted during pauses between the songs. The heroin was for Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards only, while the cocaine was for anyone else who wanted it. Ronnie and Keith — an inseparable force — also smoked heroin-laced cigarettes on stage.
