Tahir’s back for more

-

SOUTH AFRICA are planning to reopen old wounds as they take on Sri Lanka at the Oval — with leg-spinner Imran Tahir fit again after tweaking a hamstring while carrying a pair of gloves as 12th man against England. The South Africans beat Sri Lanka 5-0 earlier in the year, and captain AB de Villiers said: ‘We feel confident. We could have won the series against England. And I would love to get my hands on this trophy.’ Sri Lanka will welcome back fast bowler Lasith Malinga for his first ODI since November 2015, but are likely to be without captain Angelo Mathews, who has a calf niggle.
