Watch out, here come the O’Briens

-

THE O’Briens are out to make the Derby a family affair, led by trainer Aidan (right), who has six runners including Venice Beach, the Chester Vase winner, ridden by younger son Donnacha. His elder son Joseph, a winner on Camelot in 2012 and Australia in 2014, bids to become the first man to ride and train a winner since Harry Wragg trained Psidium to win in 1961 after three victories as a jockey. Ana O’Brien, who has ridden 58 winners, becomes only the third woman to ride in the race — after Alex Greaves and Hayley Turner — partnering her father’s outsider, The Anvil.
