Bravery of the stabbing victims

Was I noble or mad to wade in?

-

A BUSINESS journalist was stabbed in the throat while protecting a pub doorman.

Geoff Ho was filmed clutching his neck as he was led towards an ambulance by a policeman.

Mr Ho, an expert in Kung Fu and kickboxing, intervened when he spotted the bouncer being attacked by two of the terrorists in London Bridge.

But he did not realise it was terrorist attack. He played down his bravery in a Facebook post, saying: ‘[I] don’t know whether it was stupid or noble to jump in and break up the fight outside the Southwark Tavern, but two a***s trying to do over the lone bouncer on the door isn’t happening on my watch.’

The Sunday Express business editor has been treated in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. His friend Isabelle Oderberg said: ‘He is actually a martial artist and I wouldn’t be surprised if he would have stood up and been counted because he’s just that type of person. This is who Geoff is and that’s why we love him.’
