Jihadis’ chilling order for Ramadan attacks

- By Larisa Brown

A JIHADIST propaganda outlet issued a call for fanatics to carry out vehicle and knife attacks just hours before the london Bridge terror atrocity.

The chilling message urged attackers to ‘gain benefit’ from the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan and ‘kill the civilians of the Crusaders’. It added: ‘Run over them by vehicles’.

The cry was posted on the encrypted messaging app Telegram – dubbed the ‘jihadi chatroom’ – on Saturday morning in both english and Arabic by the IS-linked Nashir News Agency.

It followed a previous call by the terror group last November pointing terrorists to use a hertz van – similar to the one used on Saturday night – and ‘crush’ civilians.

Saturday’s image included a truck, a knife and handgun, which was then reposted after the london Bridge atrocity, while other messages warned of further attacks.

IS sympathisers also claimed the attack was revenge for an RAF bomb enscribed ‘love from Manchester’ which was flown over Syria last month following the Arena attack. Yesterday a photo of the bomb was posted online with the menacing caption: ‘This is your Merchandise and tonight we responded...’

however IS was still to claim responsibility for Saturday’s murder spree last night. encryped messaging apps such as Telegram and WhatsApp continue to come under criticism for hosting extremist content.
