OSCAR-WINNER Catherine Zeta-Jones posted this picture, far right, of her mother showing that good genes run in her family.

‘My Mam is my muse,’ the Welsh actress writes of former seamstress Patricia, who passed on her lustrous locks and dark-eyed looks to Catherine. The Hollywood star has come a long way from Swansea, where her dad used to own a sweet factory.

She is now married to actor Michael Douglas, 72, with whom she has two children, Dylan, 16, and 14-year-old Carys, who has also clearly benefited from her granny’s glossy tresses, left. Despite her working-class roots, life wasn’t too hard for young Catherine, whose parents were able to enrol her in dance and ballet classes after winning £100,000 on a night out at the bingo.
