More, more, more
ALL the main political parties’ election manifestos promise more for everyone. But where will the money come from?
For Labour, it is more borrowing and higher taxes.
For the Conservatives, it is some borrowing, efficiencies and making the economy stronger.
JOHN BARTON, Eastleigh, Hants. I HOPE people are not taken in by the extravagant promises made by Jeremy Corbyn. If they have been hoodwinked by him, there is only one route this country will be heading — down the pan.
His spending promises on everything from the NHS and education — including scrapping university tuition fees — to increasing police and security cannot be funded as he suggests. For the sake of the country, we must re-elect the Conservatives.
