Poldark hunk Aidan is single again
BARING his rippling torso earned him heart-throb status among millions of female fans.
And Poldark star Aidan Turner is ready to make the most of it after splitting with his girlfriend of eight months.
The 33-year-old Irish hunk has reportedly separated amicably from artist Nettie Wakefield, 29.
Turner was first spotted with her in October last year. But the pair were said to have gone their separate ways as Turner makes the most of his new-found fame.
A source said: ‘Aidan’s career has really taken off and he just wants to enjoy being single for a bit. He is enjoying the attention from girls, as much as any young man would. He isn’t ready to settle down too soon.’
According to The Sun, the couple’s work commitments and hectic lifestyles got in the way of their romance.
A source said: ‘It just wasn’t to be and busy schedules drove them apart.’
Miss Wakefield has previously been linked to actors Robert Pattinson and Tom Sturridge.
Turner dated Lenora Crichlow, his co-star in the TV series Being Human, and actress Sarah Greene. He has also been linked to actress Charlene McKenna.
He returns to our screens on Sunday night when Cornish drama Poldark begins its third series.
But to the disappointment of his female fans the actor has said there will be no scenes of him scything topless.
