How Meghan’s dream to become a pilot took off

PRINCE Harry’s globetrotting girlfriend Meghan Markle, who splits her time between Los Angeles, Canada, and London, has developed a keen interest in becoming a pilot.

I can reveal that the American actress, 35, has received flying lessons from singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s husband, musician Richard Jones.

‘I took Meghan up with me and she loved it. She was great, a natural,’ Richard tells me.

‘She was in town last summer and we flew up to the Cotswolds.’ The unlikely friendship came about thanks to Soho House founder, Nick Jones, who has hosted Harry and Suits star Meghan at his Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, which is popular with the trendy elite.

‘I said: “Let me show you how to fly a plane,” — that’s the first thing I say to most people,’ Richard adds. ‘ We haven’t seen her recently.

‘If she wants to have another go, I’d be more than happy to let her.’
