Don’t tax the rich

I AM not part of the 1 per cent of the population who contribute 27 per cent of all taxation to the state, but I fear this is already unfair.

To penalise these people further for being successful risks driving them away. That would leave the rest of us having to top up hMrC’s coffers. It might be better to say: ‘Thank you.’ MICHAEL PRITCHARD, Penn, Bucks.
