4 Nigel Dodds, 58, has served as DUP deputy leader since June 2008. During an Orange Order march in 2013 he was knocked unconsciou­s by a brick in the Shankhill area of North Belfast.

5 Jim Shannon, 62. Ex-soldier secured a majority of nearly 20,000 in Strangford. In 2011 he was voted the least sexy MP.

6 Arlene Foster, 46. The DUP leader is not an MP but sits at Stormont. Implicated in the Renewable Heat Incentive scandal, which offered taxpayer incentives to businesses for burning wood pellets but overspent by hundreds of millions. 7 Gavin Robinson, 32, is a barrister and formerly Lord Mayor of Belfast. 8 Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, 54, is Northern Ireland’s longest-serving current MP. He controvers­ially opposed David Trimble during his efforts to negotiate the peace process to end The Troubles. 9 Paul Girvan, 53, took the South Antrim seat from the Ulster Unionists. 10 David Simpson, 58, has served as MP for Upper Bann since 2005. 11 Ian Paisley Jr, 50, son of the firebrand founder of the DUP.
