Porte opens the door

DENMARK’S Jakob Fuglsang won a sprint finish from Richie Porte and Chris Froome on stage six of the Criterium du Dauphine around Mont du Chat. But BMC rider Porte moved into the overall lead with a 39-second advantage over Team Sky’s Froome heading into today’s mountain stage to L’Alpe d’Huez. Froome regained ground on the descent through a run of narrow roads and right corners before Fuglsang attacked under the flamme rouge of the last kilometre. ‘Finally everything seems to be coming together,’ said Fuglsang.
