Goodbye 007: Joan’s farewell to Roger
THE life of Sir Roger Moore has been celebrated at a funeral service in Monte Carlo.
Family and friend, including actress Dame Joan Collins, said their goodbyes to the longestreigning 007, who was 89.
His manager and biographer, Gareth Owen, posted a photo of the order of service on the actor’s Twitter account with the message: ‘Yesterday we said our goodbyes in a beautiful service and celebrated a wonderful life.’
The funeral, attended by his widow Kristina and three children, Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian, was held on Saturday.
Dame Joan said it was a ‘beautiful and loving service for one of the great Saints, Knights and Gents of our time’.
Sir Roger died in Switzerland on May 23 after a ‘short but brave battle with cancer’.
