THROW symmetry out of the window this summer and focus on mismatched necklines, ruffles and prints. The asymmetric trend has filtered down from the catwalks, where designers such as Diane von Furstenberg and Prada showcased their skew-whiff collections. The designs may look daunting but, in fact, they break up your silhouette to create a far more flattering shape. Look out for one-shoulder swimming costumes, ruffled skirts with uneven hems and lopsided earrings — it’s time to be wonderfully wonky!
