Holland avenge Olympic defeat

ENGLAND hockey captain Alex Danson scored her 100th international goal but her side lost on penalties to Holland. England trailed 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from Laura Nunnink and Laurien Leurink at the Olympic Park. But Danson broke through a packed defence to fire home her landmark goal before Sophie Bray equalised for the hosts with six minutes left. The Dutch, who lost a penalty shoot-out to Great Britain in the Olympic final in Rio last year, kept their cool this time to secure victory.
