BoJo to the rescue!

-

TO CALL a General Election with a 21 per cent lead in the polls and almost lose it six weeks later takes some doing.

The election should have been about Brexit, so what on earth was Theresa May thinking of when she offered to bring back fox hunting?

And did no one at Conservative HQ look at the draft manifesto, read the social care package that included cutting free school meals and bringing in a dementia tax, and say: ‘That could cost us the election!’ Come back, Boris, all is forgiven.

DAVE MOORE, Par, Cornwall. AT THE start of the election campaign, the very clear message from Theresa May was that the vote was all about whether the public wanted her or Jeremy Corbyn to lead the Brexit negotiations.

Now that question has been settled: we have a hung Parliament with Northern Ireland’s DUP having the influence that the Scots would so love to have.

PETER DIVER, Soham, Cambs.
