Woman filmed in ‘sex act’ with stranger on flight is a mother of 3 who owns a cafe
A WOMAN filmed in an amorous clinch with a stranger on a packed Ryanair flight has said she is mortified and insisted ‘absolutely nothing happened’.
Tracey Bolton said she has not stopped crying since a video showing her writhing with Shaun Edmondson at 32,000ft went viral online.
Mr Edmondson, whose six-months pregnant fiancée was left at home while he went on a friend’s stag trip, and Miss Bolton are not thought to have known each other before boarding the plane.
They were filmed by shocked fellow passengers who believed cafe owner Miss Bolton, a 39-year-old mother of three, and Mr Edmonson were having sex in his seat. But last night friends of Miss Bolton insisted the pair had not joined the ‘mile high club’ on the flight from Manchester to Ibiza last Friday. Instead, they said, she was performing a lapdance for the 31-year-old chef.
Reacting to the video on Facebook before deleting her account Miss Bolton, from Colne in Lancashire, wrote: ‘I am absolutely mortified. What started as a bit of drunken madness has gone worldwide. I am horrified but absolutely nothing happened.
‘I haven’t stopped crying since I saw it. I am so embarrassed!’ Friends added: ‘ She insists she wasn’t having sex with the guy, but admits it looks bad.’
And her father Stephen told The Sun: ‘ People are getting mixed up. They have got the wrong side of the story.’
According to friends Mr Edmondson, from Windermere, Cumbria, had never met Miss Bolton before the flight.
Last night he was said to be in hiding.
His fiancée, Jenna Ross, 25, who is originally from Canada, has been with him for six years and they share a £200,000 bungalow.
A source close to the Edmond- son family said the chef had gone ‘AWOL’ and Miss Ross and his relatives did not know where he was. ‘From what I understand he was supposed to be back by now – and he might well be,’ the friend told Mail Online.
‘But he has completely gone into hiding since this has all kicked off. He could still even be over there.
‘Apparently none of his family or his girlfriend have been able get in touch with him.’
Kieran Williams, 21, from Preston, who was on the plane said he was astonished by what Mr Edmondson and Miss Bolton had got up to an hour into the flight.
Mr Williams, who was flying to Ibiza to work as a barman over the summer, said: ‘I heard them talking about it but I thought they were joking.
‘They seemed so drunk, they brought a lot of attention to themselves. I had to get my phone out. I have never seen anything like that.’
A female passenger sitting next to the pair asked to be moved but Mr Williams said the crew did nothing to stop the pair or even reprimand them.
Mr Edmondson, a sous chef, works at the upmarket Lyth Valley Country Inn near Kendal, a family pub which is owned by his father.
A neighbour said: ‘ Shaun’s always been popular with the ladies, he’s a keen body-builder who is used to getting a lot of attention from the opposite sex.
‘His fiancée Jenna is a lovely girl and he seemed to be ready to settle down with her, but I dread to think what she said when she saw the video.’ Mr Edmondson’s father, Steve, who owns the Brown Horse Inn in Winster as well as the Lyth Valley Country Inn, had a brief stint as manager of Kendal Town Football Club.
A Ryanair spokesman said: ‘We are looking into this matter.
‘We will not tolerate unruly, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour at any time and any passengers who appear to behave in an unacceptable manner may be liable for further sanctions.’
