÷ PAKISTAN will be hard-pressed to hit Mark Wood off his line. Wood’s economy-rate was the meanest of the group stages at 4.24 and his scalps included Kane Williamson, David Warner and Steve Smith. Pakistan’s tightest bowler was Swansea-born spinner Imad Wasim, who went for 4.72 runs per over. ÷ ENGLAND have the batting aces. They passed 300 twice, against Bangladesh and New Zealand, before easing to 240 for four against Australia. Pakistan topscored with their 237 for seven against Sri Lanka, when they needed an eighth-wicket stand of 75 between Sarfraz Ahmed and Mohammad Amir to save them. ÷ MUCH could depend on how England play Pakistan’s left-arm opening bowlers — Amir (right) and Junaid Khan. Alex Hales has averaged 50 so far but made a duck last time out. Jonny Bairstow has never opened in an ODI before.
