Robshaw is back for England at last

- WILL KELLEHER

CHRIS ROBSHAW will play his first Test match in six months when he starts against Argentina here on Saturday. The former England captain, 31, last featured in a capped fixture against Australia in December but will return to the blindside flank, having fully recovered from an ankle injury. He will replace Mark Wilson, who was outstanding among Eddie Jones’ 10 debutants in San Juan when England won a thriling first Test 38-34 last week. Piers Francis, the Auckland Blues playmaker who was sharp on debut last weekend, looks set for a run at inside centre outside George Ford. Tom Curry, Joe Launchbury and Nathan Hughes only took part in noncontact sessions at the San Isidro training ground yesterday. Sam Underhill, meanwhile, is set to be involved in a Test matchday squad for the first time. Jones will announce his team for the second and final Test this evening. He will name Jonny May on the left wing and May says he feels quicker than ever, after returning from a cruciate knee injury. The Gloucester flyer tore the ligament in December 2015, but is back up to speed thanks to recovery sessions and sprint training from legendary Olympian Michael Johnson. ‘I couldn’t even run a year ago,’ said May. ‘Considering my injury, I have exceeded my expectations. After this tour will be the first break from training I have had since the 2015 World Cup. I am looking forward to having a real good game and then a rest.’
