defender Ben Turner’s appeal for using racially abusive language has been dismissed. In March, Turner (right) was found guilty of racially abusing Brentford’s Nico Yennaris during a match in December. The FA have banned him for five games, fined him £8,000 and ruled he must attend an education course. The 29-year-old said: ‘I strongly maintain I did not use the language. I am shocked and extremely disappointed with the decision.’
