AN HONOUR FOR FRIEND OF DIANA
DISABILITIES campaigner Rosa Monckton has been made an MBE.
Miss Monckton, whose 21-year-old daughter Domenica has Down’s syndrome, was honoured for voluntary and charitable services.
A close friend of Princess Diana, who was godmother to her daughter, Miss Monckton set up a charity called Team Domenica which provides work training for adults with learning disabilities.
The 63-year-old supports other charities including Downs Side Up. She was previously chief executive of luxury jewellers Asprey & Garrard.
