CHOCOLATE TOO PRECIOUS TO TOUCH
To’ak Milk Chocolate Bar, £295 for 50g, harrods.com DESCRIBED as some of the rarest chocolate in the world, this small 50g bar — which costs the equivalent of 491 Mars bars — is made from cocoa pods grown in the valley of Piedra de Plata in Ecuador. The pods are DNA matched with Nacional cacao — thought to be the original source of chocolate —and the bar is made with just two ingredients: cocoa mass and cane sugar. Packaged in a handcrafted Spanish elm-wood box, the chocolate comes with a pair of small tongs so you don’t taint the flavour with your fingers as you eat it.
