Hotel chief banks £5.2m
THE boss of Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza has sold £5.2m worth of shares.
InterContinental Hotels’ chief executive Richard Solomons, 55, and his wife Karin sold 117,000 shares at 4412.7p. The businessman, credited for successfully turning the company into a hotel operator rather than owner, is retiring after 25 years – six of them as boss.
He will be replaced by chief commercial officer Keith Barr on July 1.
