Briton dies on holiday trying to retrieve his sunglasses

-

A BRITISH tourist has died on holiday in Poland after falling out of an electric shuttle car.

Richard Bunt, a 33-year-old sale director, was on his way to his accommodation when he is thought to have dropped his sunglasses. He fell as he tried to retrieve them and suffered a serious brain injury.

The Coventry City fan, who lived in London, was on holiday with friends and family, including his wife Lucy, 32.

Doctors operated at Krakow University Hospital but after extensive tests and consultation with UK specialists, they said nothing more could be done. Mr Bunt’s family decided to donate his organs, helping six Polish patients.

He died on Tuesday, surrounded by family and friends, who said in a statement: ‘Richard affected so many lives with his love, his brilliant humour and everyday acts of kindness.’
