Focus on the quad muscles at the front of your legs. Try 15 squats, then a brisk walk up and down stairs, a five-minute power walk, then ten walking lunges.

For a walking lunge, start with feet shoulder-width apart, hands on hips. Step forward with one leg, flexing the knees to drop your hips until your back knee nearly touches the ground. Repeat on other leg.
