From grunge to Vogue, the transformation of Paris Jackson
SHE has developed a reputation for looking more grunge than glam when off duty.
But Paris Jackson completed a stunning transformation for her appearance in Vogue.
The 19-year-old actress and model looks elegant in a colourful floral sequined low-cut dress, matched with a studded collar.
For the magazine’s cover shot she wears a blue crop top with yellow embellishments and matching high-waisted bottoms. Another pose shows her in a casual check skirt.
Miss Jackson, daughter of the late pop superstar Michael Jackson, made her modelling debut only six months ago, posing in front of the Eiffel Tower for Chanel. She has since graced the cover of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone and Harper’s Bazaar – but the appearance in Vogue Australia’s July edition marks the next big leap in her career.
The shoot reveals a far more sophisticated look than the Doc Martens and cut-off denim she usually favours. Miss Jackson decided to conduct the accompanying interview by text message – something the magazine had not done previously.
She said it was ‘one of the first where my words haven’t been twisted’. She discusses her career and passion for social justice, saying: ‘I have so many causes that are dear to my heart.’
