focus on the faces – because these aren’t just any old family snaps.

The intimate set of family portraits show life through a lens... Beckham style.

The pictures were shot by Brooklyn Beckham, 18, an aspiring photographer who is releasing his first book showcasing his talent behind the camera. And he has revealed how his attempts to go the extra mile to capture the perfect shot landed him in hot water with parents David and Victoria.

one black and white image was taken as the teenager peered over the edge of a 16storey rooftop in New York – and is captioned: ‘Don’t try this at home.’ Brooklyn adds: ‘My parents were so angry when they saw this. so stupid. cool shot though.’

Brooklyn, who won a scholarship to a prestigious Manhattan arts’ university, also captured his 14-year- old brother Romeo with a bunch of flowers and his five-yearold sister Harper sketching at the table.

The book, called What I see, will be launched with an exhibition in London from June 27 until July 7. It moves to Los Ange- les the following month. Brooklyn admitted he struggled to get the collection formally passed by his superstar parents, saying: ‘Took bloody ages. Most times, I’m secretive about taking them. If my mum sees me taking a picture, she kind of poses and stuff, and I don’t really like that.’

The book is published on June 29 by Penguin Random House uK in hardback, priced £16.99.
