Ukip plea rejected
SHAREHOLDERS in Panther Securities have rejected a proposal to allow the company to donate £20,000 to Ukip.
Andrew Perloff, chairman of the property investment firm, put forward the proposal in the Aim-listed firm’s annual results, released in April.
He said Ukip needed support ‘to make them a second or third force in our political system. my view is that the present second and third political forces are pretty useless’.
At last year’s AGM, shareholders passed a similar proposal to allow Panther’s directors to donate up to £25,000 to the party.
