Be brave over Brexit
SO THE Brexit talks have finally begun. With little hope in my heart I wonder whether it will be possible for the negotiators on both sides to behave like adults and put aside point scoring, snide remarks, threats and image boosting boasts and come to the table with one agenda — the best possible deal for the people. UNLESS our negotiators for Brexit have a bottom line that is unacceptable to Europe — the so-called Hard Brexit — they will have no power in the discussions.

WHY should Leavers get upset about an EU divorce settlement?
After 40 years of marriage, assets in a divorce will be split 50/50. Germany alone has more assets than the rest of the EU, let alone Britain, so how much are they going to pay us in the divorce settlement? ROBERT WRIGHT, St Neots, Cambs.
