Swimwear bonanza
DEMAND for bodysculpting swimwear helped sales boom at N Brown.
The fashion retailer which owns Simply Be, Jacamo and JD Williams brands said its swimwear had performed particularly well in the first quarter due to the fact that its flattering styles and fabrics were more sympathetic to a plus-size customer. Sales in the 13 weeks to June 3 jumped 5.6pc, while online revenues soared 16pc.
Womenswear brand Simply Be was the stand- out performer, with sales up 20.5pc. JD Williams and Jacamo were up 12.7pc and 5.5pc respectively.
