PORTUGAL COACH WON’T BE DRAWN ON RONALDO
PORTUGAL coach Fernando Santos swerved questions about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, insisting the Real MAdrid star was concentrating on the national team’s Confederations Cup game against hosts Russia today. Ronaldo, who again did not appear at a pre-match press conference, yesterday learned that July 31 is the date he is expected to appear in a Madrid court to answer four counts of tax evasion of £12.9million. Santos refused to answer questions on whether Ronaldo wants to leave Real in English, saying in Portuguese: ‘Ronaldo is extremely concentrated with the Russian game.’
