ARSENAL GIVE RAMSEY A RISE

AARON RAMSEY looks set to be the first Arsenal player to benefit from the club’s new policy of offering improved deals to avoid players leaving for free when their contracts run out. Arsenal have allowed Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to enter the final year of their deals. Ramsey’s pay rise could be followed by offers to Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott and Petr Cech.
