Family help for army women

WOMEN will be able to bring up families while serving in the armed forces under plans outlined yesterday.

Flexible working arrangements were put at the centre of the bill to attract more women to the military.

Just 10 per cent of all recruits are female but the government wants to increase this to 15 per cent by 2020.

The armed forces bill set out plans including flexible working and an easier transition back into work after maternity leave.
