Roadshow find worth £1million

A piece of jewellery worth up to £1 million is expected to become one of the most expensive pieces ever valued on the Antiques Roadshow.

The Fabergé flower, pictured, was valued during filming of the BBc1 programme yesterday. it was described by executive producer Simon Shaw as ‘one of the most significan­t jewellery finds in 40 years of Antiques Roadshow history.’

The ornamental piece was valued by expert Geoffrey Munn at the Black country Living Museum in the West Midlands. The history and exact value of the item has not been revealed ahead of the episode, which will be broadcast in August.

presenter Fiona Bruce said: ‘i’m excited that we’ve had such a good find today.’

previous items given seven-figure valuations on the show include the FA cup used between 1911 and 1992 and a model of the Angel of the North sculpture.
