Courteney, 53: I’ve ditched face jabs because trying to stay young left me looking worse!

AS the years creep up, it can be tempting to resort to nips and tucks to try to maintain a youthful glow.

But Courteney Cox has admitted that her attempts to hold off the years ‘actually made things worse’.

The 53-year-old said her obsession with looking good meant she became addicted to facial fillers, but eventually realised she no longer looked like herself.

In 2015, the Friends actress went public with a remarkably altered look as fillers left her with dramatically rounder cheeks and fuller-looking lips.

But now she is back looking like her old self, after revealing that she has had ‘all my fillers dissolved’. The mother-of-one said: ‘I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself ... Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake.’

Speaking about her desire to look like her old self again, Miss Cox told New Beauty magazine: ‘You need movement in your face ... Those aren’t wrinkles – they’re smile lines. I’ve had to realise that fillers are not my friend.’

Miss Cox – whose fiance Snow Patrol frontman Johnny McDaid is 13 years her junior – also revealed she ‘would love to have a baby now’.

The actress, who has a 13-year-old daughter from her marriage to David Arquette, added: ‘I mean, I could carry someone else’s egg.

‘I may be one of the older people doing it, but I would love to, with Johnny that is. I would. I know it’s crazy, but I would.’
