‘FOR fans of Tammy Wynette and Patti Smith’ advises the sleeve of this debut by Lillie Mae Rische. In truth, its mix of rootsy American styles owes more to Nashville queen Tammy than to punk priestess Patti, but there’s no denying the strength of these road songs and hoedowns. Rocker Jack White produces with rough-and-ready flair, while three of Lillie Mae’s siblings — there was once a Rische family band — add guitar and mandolin.
