IMAGINE DRAGONS: Evolve (Polydor)

UNASSUMING Las Vegas quartet Imagine Dragons have become chart-toppers on the back of arena-pleasing rock anthems and machine-tooled pop hits. This third album contradicts its title by offering more of the same, albeit with beefed-up beats. Mouth Of The River combines Killers guitars, Pet Shop Boys synths and gospel vocals to horribly overblown effect, though the quirky Believer could be a hit.
