IAN Page, who is chief executive of Dechra Pharmaceuticals, netted £2.6m by selling shares in the UK’s largest animal pharmaceutical manufacturer.
The 56-year-old sold 134,500 shares in the FTSE 250-listed company at 1927p each.
Page retains nearly 678,000 shares in the firm, a 0.7pc stake. Last year, he was paid £2.3m. Page, who has three sons and lives in Rochdale, left school at 16 and started work as a lab assistant and then a van driver for a veterinary wholesaler.
