But Mick Jagger fulfilled one of his paternal duties for Father’s Day, flying out to New York to see the latest addition to his brood and the baby’s mother in a rare visit.
The London-based Rolling Stone, 7 , and US ballerina Melanie Hamrick, who is 44 years his junior, have six-monthold Deveraux Octavian Basil together.
The on-off couple, who have only once before been pictured together, were spotted visiting Italian restaurant Masseria Dei Vini last Saturday.
Sir Mick looked relaxed, smiling as he held his arm around the dancer. But he appeared decidedly tired leaving her home the next morning – a situation likely to be familiar to many parents kept up by screaming babies.
Later Miss Hamrick, 29, took their son to the park. Worth an estimated £ 00million, Sir Mick is thought to have bought her a £5million house in the city and to have agreed a £120,000-a-year deal to help her bring up Deveraux.
