Just one day after leaving hospital, Philip’s back in harness

HE was only discharged from hospital on Thursday – but Prince Philip was never going to be one to sit around and mope at home.

And sure enough, the Duke of Edinburgh was pictured yesterday driving a carriage around the grounds of Windsor Castle. The 96-year-old had spent two nights at the King Edward VII hospital in London after being admitted on Tuesday for what is believed to be a bladder infection. The setback forced him to miss the State Opening of Parliament.

But despite his quick recovery, the Queen’s husband has cancelled a visit to London Zoo next week to ensure he gets back to full health.
