Capita’s £888m sale

CAPITA last night agreed to sell its share registrar business to an Australian rival for £888m.

The outsourcer is offloading Capita Asset Services as it seeks to cut its debt pile.

The business is being bought by Link Administration holdings, an Australian rival looking to break into the UK market.

Capita chief executive Andy Parker said it is part of their strategy ‘to simplify and streamline Capita’.
