Nasa is on verge of announcing contact with aliens, claim hackers

NASA is on the verge of announcing con- tact with alien life, according to a video released by the computer hacking collective Anonymous.

The video, published on Tuesday via a YouTube channel claiming to be affiliated with the group, says the US space agency is aware of intelligent life in space.

The video has already been viewed more than half a million times. It predicts the imminent announcement of the discovery of extraterrestrial life.

The claims come after Nasa announced in June that its Kepler telescope had found ten new planets outside our solar system that are probably the right size and temperature to sustain life.

There are a total of 49 planets in the Goldilocks zone – a tiny part of the galaxy – that could be suitable for life, the agency said.

In April it announced that nearly all the elements needed for life had been discovered on one of Saturn’s icy moons.
