His ‘fake’ Time magazine cover
THE US President has been a staunch critic of ‘fake news’.
But now Donald Trump is being mocked online for putting it on the walls of his golf clubs, in a bogus Time cover with his picture and flattering headlines.
The row erupted after the magazine requested that framed copies the cover, dated March 1, 2009, be removed. There was no issue of Time on that date, and the closest, for March 2, 2009, had Kate Winslet on the cover.
The fake cover has been on the walls of at least three Trumpowned golf clubs in the US, one in Ireland and one in Scotland.
