I’m begging you — ban the baby bump!

-

I’ve complained about it before. I’ve wondered if there could be a tasteful alternative. I’ve asked nicely. Now I am begging. Please, please, pregnant lady celebrities, desist from posing naked for magazine covers, no matter how much money you’re offered, nor how proud you might be of your mighty baby bump. You’re pregnant! we get it! But please get over it. Tennis star Serena williams is the latest notable to pose naked and preggers — is there any chance that this tradition for both celebrity and non-celebrity mums will come to an end soon?

After all, it has been over a quarter of a century since up-the- duff demi Moore posed in the scud on the cover of vanity Fair. Since then, Sienna Miller, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Myleene Klass (just you try to stop her) and Mariah Carey are among those who have followed.

what’s wrong with a nice pintucked smock and a bit of modesty these days? everything, it seems.
