WHAT has happened to the annual Serpentine Gallery summer party? Once London’s most glamorous bash of the season, this year even the host, designer Karl Lagerfeld, failed to turn up to his own do. Perhaps the German fashionisto was worried he might bump in to Londonbased superstar singer Adele?
