African airline turnaround

TURBULENT Fast Jet soared more than 18pc yesterday after reporting progress in its turnaround efforts.

The Africa-focused airline has seen its shares collapse by 99pc since peaking in 2013 due to tough economic conditions and overexpansion. But yesterday the firm said its cost-cutting was proving fruitful.
