BARCELONA have activated the buy-back clause in Everton forward Gerard Deulofeu’s contract. The Spain Under-21 captain, who cost Everton £4.3m in 2015, spent last season on loan at AC Milan but Barcelona paid the £10.5m fee and gave him a two-year deal. Everton have confirmed the signing of Nigeria’s Henry Onyekuru, 20, from Belgian side Eupen in a £7m deal. He will go to Anderlecht on loan.

DESPITE late interest from Hull, Birmingham boss Harry Redknapp is close to a £3.5m deal for Barnsley defender Marc Roberts, 26, after target John Terry joined Aston Villa.

FIORENTINA’S complaint against Mohamed Salah and Chelsea has been dismissed by the Court of Arbitratio­n for Sport. Salah, now at Liverpool, initially joined Fiorentina on loan from Chelsea in January 2015 but the Egpyt winger instead moved to Roma on loan and Fiorentina alleged breach of contract. FIFA threw out the complaint in May 2016 and CAS has agreed.

MIDDLESBRO­UGH lead the chase for Norwich midfielder Jonny Howson. New Boro boss Garry Monk faces competitio­n from Howson’s old club Leeds and Premier League Burnley for the 29-year-old, who Norwich value at £6m plus.

NIKE will be Tottenham’s new kit provider in a £30m-ayear deal. Chairman Daniel Levy said: ‘Nike is committed to partnering with us both at home, at a time when our new stadium scheme is the catalyst for the regenerati­on of Tottenham, and globally.’
