Now Mandy’s wearing a ring!

WHEN Peter Mandelson was ‘outed’ during a live interview on Newsnight in 1999, the furious Labour Cabinet minister phoned BBC chairman Sir Christopher Bland to reprimand him.

Happily, Lord Mandelson is now much more comfortable with his sexuality. On Saturday, he posed for smiley photos with his Brazilian partner Reinaldo Avila da Silva at playwright Sir Tom Stoppard’s 80th birthday party in Chelsea.

Mandy, 63, has never revealed if they have entered into a civil partnership or married but, intriguingly, he does wear a ring on his right hand.
